Gordon Phillips, Managing Partner

Gord was a founding partner of EPG and he plays a major role in most of the firm's assignments. His particular expertise is in tourism concept development, problem solving and strategy development. He also works with tourism organizations, helping them strengthen their business models. Prior to the formation of the firm, he held senior management positions with a cruise operation, a four season resort and a tour company.

Susan Mathieu, Partner

Sue has been with the firm since its inception in 1980 and became a partner in the mid 1980’s. Her particular areas of expertise are tourism research, market analysis and feasibility analysis for tourism-related projects of various kinds, most notably for projects that involve significant market development efforts, such as attractions and resorts. She also has extensive experience in strategic planning for tourism destinations, in tourism economic impact analysis and casino win analysis.

Minto Schneider, Associate

Minto Schneider has worked with EPG since 2004. Her hands-on experience in senior management positions with destination marketing organizations, hotels and major tour operators has provided her with broad exposure to all aspects of the tourism industry. Her area of expertise is in market analysis and strategic planning for tourism related projects. Minto’s background includes senior management positions with an international hotel company, both municipal and provincial destination marketing organisations and a major international group tour operator.

Robert Frame, Associate

Bob has worked with EPG on a variety of assignments involving heritage interpretation and museum business planning over the past seven years. He has over 30 years of experience in managing and developing museums, the restoration and maintenance of historic buildings and in senior management of the Nova Scotia Museum system. He has played leading roles in heritage tourism projects, in overseeing the establishment and operation of museums and the development and implementation of a standards based, peer group evaluation system that fosters excellence among museums.


Bob was recognized in 2010 by his peers in the Canadian Museums Association with an award of distinguished service to the museum community in Canada.
